Yeah, This guy is established as a liar so I'm not believing that he's done trying to get Elliot killed.
ID: 519b3 No.7152
It's also possible he didn't actually do the whole dex debacle and is just taking credit for Pandora's handiwork.
ID: 5f62a No.7153
Yeah, and how do you even do 2 out of 3 if you die when you lose?
ID: 611dd No.7165
Im just going to have his soul overwritten by a ghost of himself from another dimension. Not technically dead
ID: 519b3 No.7166
Oh is THAT what the shadow-ghost is (and his intent)? The whole time I thought he was trying to intercept Ellen's transform beam to become tangible, and proceed rip a hole in reality to return to his own.
ID: 5f62a No.7167
I remember qhat he wanted was for the beam to pass through him into Elliot. I figured that was what he was trying to accomplish
ID: d9921 No.7172
now proceed to continuously try to harm them to the point of hospitalizing em instead
ID: 519b3 No.7174
Your assessment is looking more accurate with this.
It still allows him to harm elliot with his indirect means, but it'd only to serve to distract. Which is all he needs at this point really.
ID: 5f62a No.7201
Maybe he's planning to break it in a big way. One way that will really count.
ID: 9c735 No.7259
Honestly I kinda don't care about any of it? It's like… he's made it way more complex than it needs to be and at the same time way less complex but interesting
than it could have been.
The theory of twins was interesting because it implied some sort of deeper past involved with these people. "lol Susan's dad is cheating scum" is both boring and yet leaves all these plot threads scattered around. The fact that the text actually seems to carry a note of disdain for the idea of the more interesting version of the story is sort of telling.
This reminds me of my experiences trying to watch Steven Universe. There's a lot of flailing and activity but not a lot is actually happening. It's frenetically dull.
ID: 5f62a No.7263
It is annoyingly succinct. There's got to be more to it.
ID: 5f62a No.7287
I think the implication is that if she doesn't practice her ability over time she won't be able to build up her power enough to use it. Like you don't start out with 50lb weights if your just starting strength training.
ID: 5f62a No.7290
She seems pretty stable lately. I wonder what's going on.
ID: 519b3 No.7291
I reckon her chaotic form is a state of mind. Now that her current plan has been thwarted by an intangible force instead of a mortal one, she has less reason to be creepy and more reason to be manipulative…just as immortals intended.
I also reckon Dan is making her seem more empathetic and stable now that there has been a shift in looming antagonists.
ID: c2847 No.7309
wait, in those last 2 panels, Sarah's breasts are bigger than Grace's, that's not right.
ID: 519b3 No.7327
Grace has the means to change her breast size amongst other things so it's one of those small details to miss if you do know of that.
It's just one of those things that comes with the ridiculous telling of this webcomic's favorite subject.
ID: f6152 No.7384
She totes wants to bang Grace.
ID: 842bb No.7385
Well well well, this is turning out more like the fanfic I started writing than I anticipated
ID: 5f62a No.7467
also dan wrote a little story with this one:>It was a gradual thing. At first, the very idea of being seen without clothing, or seeing anyone else without clothing, was enough to make Sarah blush and run out of the room.
>As more and more experiments with various wardrobe complications took place, however, Sarah became more and more accustomed to it.
>It eventually reached a point at which not only would she not care, but she’d forget she wasn’t wearing anything. On more than one occasion she started to leave Tedd’s house without her clothes, and on one particular occasion that Tedd has yet to make sense of, she arrived at his house as such, and never acknowledged the situation.
>Tedd has some concern that this all might be more a side effect of one of their experiments than a natural shift in personality, but he’s far too nervous to say anything.
ID: edecc No.7486
C'mon, I am sure he could live on without magic and gender bending shenanigans, right?
ID: 56197 No.7555
So killing Elliot was a plan to make Tedd sad?
ID: 519b3 No.7556
Demoralize more like. Probably trying to recede him into his old shy self or somewhere along on that line. Of course knowing how convoluted immortal plots get he is probably trying to remove a very insightful piece off the chessboard, one that could possibly identify the abberation mage or the body stealer when they make their move on either Revan or Ellen/Elliot.

"There's gonna be boys at the party. Little boys can't watch something girly like My Little Pony!"
ID: 519b3 No.7613
Oh boy, the daddy issues arise at wednseday!
ID: f6152 No.7614
I can't believe we're gonna have to put up with months of this yet.
Fukkit I'm done.
ID: 519b3 No.7624
To be fair, he's been going through parts for this comic arc like cheap bubblegum. Chances are it'll either get wrapped up within like 2 months or it'll take backseat to the bigger issues that are presently going to assault the protagonists.
Besides, it was a long time coming anyways.
ID: 5f62a No.7711
"I'm not doing this because we might be related, I'm doing this because I want to"
ID: 5cee9 No.7718
isn't the Lovecraftian monster dude going to attack this guy? Or is that another Adrian?
ID: 519b3 No.7721
Yep, he desires to take control of the closest thing he'll ever get to an immortal. Of course, he'd still be better off with the dimension lost mage when he materializes since he isn't bound to immortal law like Adrian is.
ID: 685bb No.7776
she's a bitch, so good for him
ID: 5f62a No.7857
Very "ohana means family" moment.
Also, if his "parents" created damien, do you think that he was "created" in a similar manner?
ID: 5f62a No.7963
"empathy", right? Who needs it?everyone. everyone needs it
ID: 5f62a No.7988
unless she only got up on it in her daydream.
ID: 5f62a No.8008
Shit, I don't even remember what his cover story is.
ID: 519b3 No.8062
He doesn't either. That or Mr. Verres' plan is now defunct since Voltaire was spying on them.
ID: 519b3 No.8087
So the choice is to either stay a boy and be feminine for fun/enjoyment…or be a girl and make it a part of life?
Obviously I think the first one is more interesting, but considering his reaction on the matter that you mostly seen with his dad I'd understand him choosing the second if it means satisfaction with one's self image.
ID: b33f5 No.8088
I believe a better characterization of the choice is "man who can turn into a girl sometime for fun" versus "woman who can turn into a man sometimes for fun". Making the choice to remain male as his base sex is not fundamentally different if he doesn't identify with either gender in particular.
ID: 519b3 No.8136
Addendum: This did not include horse riding, btw.
ID: bc3ca No.8162
Well as long as she's not driving at the time she's perfectly fine.
ID: 9c732 No.8170
If it weren't for the last comic, it would look like she was only wearing a towel in panel two.
ID: bc3ca No.8172
I'd probably touch it.
ID: 519b3 No.8192
Guess she wasn't driving after all.
Also I forget, do they still go to high school or are they in college now?
ID: bc3ca No.8193
They are seniors in high school now I believe.
ID: f6152 No.8216
>>8212>Tedd is now delicious reverse trap
… Maybe I'll start reading again.
ID: b67f3 No.8221
Forward AND Reverse trap. So delicious whichever your preference.
ID: 84bc4 No.8224
It is bad I really
what those two to just fuck?
ID: 519b3 No.8238
Well bromance has always been a thing. And I reckon sarah would probably enact it in her mind whether she'd ever admit it or not.
Though I'm pretty sure both of them pretty much push that too.
ID: 5f62a No.8245
Guy love, between two guuuuuuuuyyyyys
ID: 5f62a No.8291
Grace had a dream, and Sarah had an immortal tell her about it.
ID: 5f62a No.8325
My money is on Immortal Crib Swapping.
ID: 5f62a No.8348
Maybe it's not the camera but who she's on camera with.
ID: f6152 No.8357
>>8355>I can't believe I was considering doing something that might offend tumblr!
And I'm out again.
ID: 30c7e No.8359
Ugh, yeah. He's been hanging with a bad crowd, and it's gonna bite him,
ID: 519b3 No.8360
The concept of Benevolence, like Justice, is often blind.
Sometimes you just end up pleasing the wrong sort of people.
ID: 92139 No.8472
I read a thing about how noone would suspect that clark kent is superman because everyone knows that Superman is Kal'el and he has an ice fortress in the arctic. To suggest that he's superman is like saying that the guy in the mailroom that resembles Hulk Hogan really is Hulk Hogan. It might be a joke that no one has seen both at the same time, but no one would take it seriously.
ID: 087ea No.8512
>>8507>Elliot banging Susan
I think I agree with that one.
ID: 6aa5c No.8585
Thanks Grace for saying what needs to be said.
ID: 2f8c3 No.8674
So, gryphons, aberration mercenaries, the fire people… Do all immortals have a thing for such needlessly complicated plots?
Could he just like, find someone gullible/crazy enough, have them get a gun and go shot any of Tedd's friends? That would be way easier and I doubt any of them would expect it.
ID: 519b3 No.8676
It seems they do prefer it that way, boredom and the chance to fail making things interesting.
Though in Voltaire's case, he seems more determined to succeed than to fail.
As for the lunatic gunman idea, that would require foreshadowing in advance for it to be more than a cheap move that removes a character from the series. It'd be interesting, but very cheap (and I'm pretty sure some of us would quit the comic ENTIRELY if a few particular characters were the victim of it).
ID: 5f62a No.8689
They are decendants of…Jesus Christ. Oh wait, that was the plot to Bizarre Uprising.
ID: 82987 No.8719
It's like divorce, but without Miss's comp!
Or widow's comp, if you want to get brutal about it.
ID: 5f62a No.8817
I'll keep up in your place, who knows, something interesting might happen? But yeah, he does abuse the cliffhanger.
ID: 82987 No.8904
Yeah, the catalina arc was just going on too long for me that I lost interest. Then he threw another pointless writer's block comic (on FO4 no less). I think the current one is a non-canon change blindness experiment?
ID: 5f62a No.8905
yes, there's a few good transformations in it.
ID: 5f62a No.9076
Not to mention people awakening and potentially learning more dangerous magic powers.
ID: f6152 No.9117
I'm still not reading this but I popped this open just because of the text commented with it.
If I wasn't so tired of the social lecturing I'd be equally tired of the whole "Ha ha we could be doing some really wild and neat stuff but we're JUST SO MORAL that we don't!" schtick.
Shit or get off the fetish-pot, Dan.
ID: 82987 No.9120
Yeah. Seems like he explores the more sexual aspects of it in either the pin-ups or the egsnp, but when it goes into the main story it's only for humor or to demonstrate reasons/morality in not using it.
Not counting stuff like the date arc with Elliot/Ashley.
ID: 5f62a No.9129
The first one is kind-of elliot with super muscles.
ID: d9921 No.9232
so what you are saying is: I can use spells, I just need a medium to do so?
ID: 3eeb2 No.9234
What I don't understand is why Magic does this. Why humans shouldn't have a good understanding of it?
ID: 5f62a No.9235
Probably because it's fuckin' dangerous. Everyone having access to magic also means every terrible person has access to magic. How soon we forget the "Tengu" incident.
ID: 3eeb2 No.9238
Inmortals can be evil fucks too and they get magic. Not to say all the abominations and demons and what not. What makes humans any worse?
ID: 5f3c5 No.9244
The problem is that abomonations start out as ordinary people who use magic to extend their lives. Wide access to magic means that many more abominations.
ID: 04e9a No.9259
Holy shit, I know you're immortal, but seriously, can you just die already? Because you are a terrible, terrible parent, and you're not going to get any better.
ID: 5f62a No.9262
She HAS been putting it off.
ID: 04e9a No.9421
>immediately use it to genderbend
This fucking comic.
ID: 57dd3 No.9422
Well that was the personal spell that he got.
ID: f6152 No.9429
I mean it's Tedd so.
ID: e7dae No.9440
There's no way that this could go wrong in a very specfic circumstance. Why would I even think that? Oh well
ID: 200ff No.9476
How long till Ted begins to feel better with his female form, and comes to a "I'm crushing on Elliot" realization.
